Real to keep Chelsea target Robinho: press
Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon has decided to keep Chelsea target Robinho at the club, a Spanish sports newspaper said Friday.
"It stays in Madrid and there is no possibility to return to this point," said Calderon, according to AS.
Calderon took the decision after an actual average by German coach Bernd Schuster, which relies on Brazil for this season.
Chelsea coach Brazilian Luiz Felipe Scolari was keen to link up to 27 million pounds (33.7 million) swoop for Robinho before the transfer window closes on Monday, and reports have said the deal would be go before the weekend.
As published photos of Chelsea CEO Peter Kenyon and agent of Robinho, Wagner Ribeiro, leaving a restaurant near Real's Santiago Bernabeu stadium Wednesday evening.
Real this week were not chosen for the signing of two possible replacement of strikers Robinho - Santi Cazorla Villarreal and David Villa from Valencia.
Real has also failed in their attempt to recruit Manchester United game Portuguese Cristiano Ronaldo.
The season of the Spanish League starts this weekend, and the transfer window closes on Monday.
