"This is a terrible black mark against the FA," Ferguson told MUTV.

"Can you believe that we are still awaiting official confirmation of it? We asked the transcript."

Ferguson added: "They made this report to make sure it is 100% waterproof.

Evra, Gary Neville, Park Ji-Sung, Danny Wellbeck, John O'Shea and Paul Scholes - who is not in the match - were running on the ground in a warm-down about 30 minutes after coup final whistle when the problem was outside.

The French and Bethell were represented in a confrontation following the incident, Bethell with raising a fist toward Evra while being restrained by two staff members of Chelsea.

The FA said Bethell Evra struck on the side of the head, and the player admitted to pushing another groundsman with his chest.

Kinnear fears Owen Newcastle exit

Kinnear will sit down with the attacker on Tuesday to discuss a new contract.

But Kinnear told the BBC: "I am quite confident all the others, but Michael is another kettle of fish."

Owen, 28, has already put his finger room "unrest" as the reason for the delay in the adoption of a new contract with the club.

After former manager Kevin Keegan's controversial exit in September, owner Mike Ashley Magpie put on sale but was unable to find a buyer.

Owen also commend the work of his successor Keegan Kinnear, who recently signed a contract as manager of Newcastle until the end of the season.

"We need someone to steady the ship - there were so many around the club this season, as well as other seasons, it seems to attract unwanted publicity," said Owen, who scored Premier League six goals this season.

"He came and you had a stabilization influence on the club and has done very well.

"We are very difficult to beat - we've had a lot of draws and if we can transform these victories we are on track."

Benitez anger at pay rise claims
Liverpool boss Rafael Benitez has hit on claims that he demanded a huge salary increase in his contract negotiations.

He explained: "The question is about the length of the contract, and after that it was my role.

"We talk more (years) now, and we are pleased with the talks.

"So when you see things said (money), it is people are not telling the truth or that people have very bad information or they want to create disorder.

"I was very disappointed with that. I repeat, this is not true. I am not asking for anything, just tell my advisers to go to the meeting and hear what they (the owners) want. The owners have been talking about an extension.

"I said, people have very bad information. I hope it will be resolved as soon as possible, but I do not know when."
