Liverpool to sign Spain´s Riera from Espanyol
Liverpool are set to sign Spanish international midfielder Albert Riera from Espanyol, the Spanish first division side said Friday.
Riera, 26, will travel to Liverpool Friday for a medical before the clubs sign a final contract, the Barcelona-based club said on its website, but did not disclose the transfer fee.
The left-sided midfielder had a brief but unspectacular spell in England on loan to Manchester City for part of the 2005-2006 season.
He has also been a target of Liverpool’s city rivals Everton.

Everton sign Louis Saha
Everton are set to sign Manchester United striker Louis Saha, subject to the adoption of a medical player. The French departure was planned by supporters of Manchester United, some of whom tired of seeing the player with a key injury after another.
The costs that Manchester United will pay Everton has not yet been disclosed, but the player will sign a 2 years with the possibility of a third year.
Saha departure will leave Manchester United with fewer options in their already weak attack lines, but it will help fill the void created by Andy Johnson move to Fulham from Everton.
Saha Everton became the third signing of the summer - Lars Jacobsen Segundo Castillo and others.
