Spurs sign Russia striker Pavlyuchenko
Tottenham reached an agreement to sign Russia striker Roman Pavlyuchenko Spartak Moscow.
Pavlyuchenko arrived in England on Friday for a medical and negotiations on a personal level and the agreement was sealed on Saturday.
"We are delighted to announce that we entered into an agreement with Spartak Moscow for the transfer of Roman Pavlyuchenko Club," a statement on the website of Tottenham confirmed.
The tax paid by Tottenham has not been disclosed but it is understood about 14 million pounds (17 million euros) and the move could pave the way for Dimitar Berbatov to leave Spurs for Manchester United.
Pavlyuchenko will not feature when Spurs take on Chelsea on Sunday.
Meanwhile, Real Zaragoza president Agapito Iglesias is reported to be in London to discuss the possible transfer of Diego Milito and Sergio García of the Spanish club for Spurs.

Zabaleta signs up at Man City
English Premier League Manchester City on Sunday announced that they had Clinch transfer from Spanish side Espanyol defender Pablo Zabaleta of Argentina.
"Manchester City FC can confirm that the Argentine defender Pablo Zabaleta has signed for the club Espanyol today for an undisclosed fee," the club said on its website mcfc.co.uk.
Zabaleta has signed a five-year contract after completing a medical and agreeing personal terms.
He will join new coach Mark Hughes to the new town to win a gold medal for his country at the Olympics in Beijing. It has also been capped at full international side during his career.
The purchase of Zabaleta, in fact, two major signatures of Hughes in the days following the return of winger Shaun Wright-Phillips from Chelsea on Thursday.
"We feel the greatest Paul is another great signing for Manchester City," said Hughes, who joined the town of Blackburn at the end of the season.
"He is young and a winner, with an Olympic gold medal to prove that, but even more it will give us great balance on the side.
"I am very happy to give it here and I hope we can get a good result at Sunderland to round off what was a very good week for us by the way."
Zabaleta was quoted as saying: "I am very happy to come here and play in the Premier League. Playing in England has been a life dream that has come to realize the relocation of the city. "
