Kinnear explains media outburst
Newcastle boss Joe Kinnear explained the reasons for his bad-mouth explosion at a press conference earlier this month.
Kinnear, 61, vowed more than 50 journalists at the BBC, but said 5 Live: "It is the language I grew up with.
"I am not trying to be something I'm not. I grew up on a council estate in Watford. "
The Football Association said Kinnear has apologized, but warned against a repeat of its actions.
Kinnear, whose appointment as interim manager of the fight club Fa Barclaycard Premiership was greeted with shock, said he was upset at his treatment in the media.
And he hit the newspaper journalists, which he said had tried to ridicule and undermine its position.
The former Wimbledon boss added: "I come from a single parent. My Community died when I was young and my mother has five on a council estate.
"There were a large number of characters at Wimbledon in 10 years that I was there for her. There were things that should be said and I do not know how to tell any other way than to tell how their right it is. "
