Drogba stays at Chelsea - Kenyon
Chelsea striker Didier Drogba will not leave Stamford Bridge in January, said chief executive Peter Kenyon club.

Drogba, 30, reportedly met with Inter Milan recently, sparking rumors he could join former Blues boss José Mourinho at the Italian club.

Kenyon told BBC Sport that he was "not relevant" to whether the reunion rumors were true.

But he added: "Didier is under contract for the next 18 months. I'm going anywhere in January. "

Drogba, who has yet to score in the Fa Barclaycard Premiership this season, has been linked to the persistence of a movement to Chelsea since Mourinho's departure last year.

Ivory Coast Striker missed the start of the season with a knee injury and is currently a three-match ban for throwing a coin into the crowd during the Carling Cup defeat to Burnley.

Reports of a meeting with Inter sporting director Marco Branca and Mourinho's agent Jorge Mendes out one-on Chelsea to the Champions League game in Bordeaux last week.

They quickly answered anger manager Luiz Felipe Scolari, who said he did not know if they were true, adding: "I do not sleep with Drogba."

Meanwhile, Drogba has reiterated that no Chelsea has a contract until 2010, Kenyon is also keen to stress.

"What people are leaving Chelsea is to us as much as anyone else," he said.

"I do not know whether or not he (Inter meet representatives).

"But it is a great player for us and we want him back. He is one of those players who can make a difference."

Kenyon said Chelsea were very unlikely to conduct any business in the January transfer window.

"We never do that because the types of players we want are not normally available in January," he said.

"They are either linked cup or simply not available."
