Eduardo close to Arsenal return
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger said striker Eduardo should be back playing competitive football as soon as possible "following his broken leg.

There were fears for Croatia in his career after suffering leg and ankle injuries in Birmingham on February 23.

"It is to reach full training but in matches he needs games now," said Wenger.

The news will come as a boost to Arsenal, who beat Chelsea and Manchester United recently but eight points behind leaders Liverpool.

The 25 year-old suffered a fractured left fibula and dislocated his left ankle after a tackle by Birmingham's Martin Taylor at the 2.2 draw at St Andrews.

Eduardo, who underwent surgery the same day, missed the rest of the season and the European Championship, but it was the subject of an intensive rehabilitation that includes Split in his native Brazil.
