Ferguson will not buy in January
Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has said he will not add to his team in the transfer window.
"I do not think there will be any transfers in January, I'm happy with what I have," he said.
"We are likely to bring a couple of young players who were on loan. This May just give us additional protection," he added.
"We took 23 players to Japan and they are important players. I would be happy to play any of them."
United won the World Club Cup in Yokohama on Sunday by beating LDU Quito 1-0 in the final.
Ferguson added: "Winning the competition was a great boost to the club and players. It was a great success and the important thing is they played well.
"They showed the good grace to match the enthusiasm and good concentration. We came through it well."
Ferguson's only signing during the summer transfer window was striker Dimitar Berbatov, who cost £ 30m from Tottenham.
