Barry who has played for England against the Czech Republic on Wednesday night was involved in a tug - or - during the war - season between his club Aston Villa and Liverpool.
Liverpool have turned their attention elsewhere as they found the Villa asking price too high.
Yesterday (Thursday) the Arsenal boss has confirmed his interest in Barry.
