Wenger and Kolo wanted me to join Arsenal – Barcelona ace
Yaya Toure Barcelona midfielder has revealed that Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger and his brother Kolo asked him to join the Gunners this summer.

But 25 years, the midfielder insists he did not want to leave Barcelona after just one season at the Spanish giants.

He told RAC-1 radio: "Both Wenger and my brother told me during the summer that I should join Arsenal, but I told them that I am very happy at Barcelona

Toure is prepared to be patient and wait for his chance to break into the team in Barcelona.

He added: "We can not play with twelve. I'm physically fit, but we must respect the decision of the coach. I am a professional and if I do not play that I must be patient for the good of the team.

"When you shoot a Barca shirt you're one of the biggest clubs in the world and you must win every game.

"The competition is a good thing. We have two very good players for each position, which is crucial when you play for the best team in the world.

"Now we have to play well and with great spirit. All players are aware that this season we have something to gain."
