Preston sign Nolan from Blackburn
Preston North End have eased their defensive problems by signing Eddie Nolan Blackburn Rovers on loan until January.
The Republic of Ireland Under-21 international, 20, who is a regular in the Rovers reserve and youth teams, can play center-back or right back.
"It's an excellent move," Nolan told BBC Radio Lancashire.
"I was very interested when I heard about the interest from Preston and hopefully it will go well for me."
"I'm just at the age now where I have to be at stake if I thought that the move was best for me.
"It's just frustrating wait in Blackburn - I have not had much to deal with Paul Ince as the new director came, I thought I should have had the chance, but it should not be.
"I hope I will get my name out there, there was no point to stay around when you do not play."
Nolan is timely arrival with Liam Chilvers, Neil Trotman, Michael Hart and Callum Davidson all currently injured.
Saturday 2-1 defeat at Watford Preston was the fourth loss in a row while 10 goals were conceded.
