Wolves complete Edwards loan deal

Championship leaders Wolves have signed the Sunderland winger Carlos Edwards is a three-month loan issues.

Boss Mick McCarthy moved to 29-year-old following injuries in the first choice wingers Michael Kightly and Matt Jarvis Tuesday's defeat by Reading.

McCarthy told the club website he was delighted to bring Edwards is the Molineux so fast.

"We have lost one wing of another long-and short-term but have had a very good replacement," he said.

"Carlos is a quality player who can play either wing and is someone we know a lot."

The Trinidad & Tobago international joined Sunderland from Luton Town 1.5 pounds in January 2007, but has lost his place to Wearside this season following the arrival of Steed Malbranque.
