Middlesbrough hit by Hoyte injury
Middlesbrough Justin Hoyte will be out of action for four weeks following knee surgery on damaged cartilage.
The 24-year-old full-back, £ 3m summer signing of Arsenal, could miss at least six games in a row.
He sat on Fa Barclaycard Premiership trip to Manchester United on December 29 and the wear-Tees derby clash with Sunderland on January 10.
Boro, currently 12th in the table, also have a Cup third round tie at home to non-league Barrow, January 3.
