Benjani out for 'number of weeks'
Manchester City Striker Benjani seems to miss the Christmas schedule with a Hamstring injury picked up during Saturday's 1-0 defeat by Everton.
Manchester City manager Mark Hughes told the club website: "It will probably be for a number of weeks.
"A number of people are carrying injuries and will have an impact when you have games coming up thick and fast.
"You need an adjustment Squad and, in this regard, we are fighting at the moment."
Starting from Thursday tie Uefa Cup against Spain's Racing Santander, city have four games in 10 days. They face West Brom, Hull and Blackburn in the Premier League during the Christmas period.
Zimbabwean international Benjani from Portsmouth has signed for £ 3.8 million in January but has played only seven times this season, scoring two goals after facing a problem of the thigh.
