Jimenez leaves post at Newcastle
Newcastle have announced that Tony Jimenez left the club.

The 43 years, was appointed vice-president (player recruitment) in January as part of owner Mike Ashley of the new management structure.

However, its role has been criticized by many fans after manager Kevin Keegan left the club in September, blaming a lack of control over transfers.

Ashley decided to sell the club Newcastle and a statement said Jimenez "pursue other interests."

He continued: "Newcastle United thanks Tony for all his hard work and efforts and wish him every success in the future."

Jimenez has built a network of contacts in football through its Empire property development and then in his role as an agent.
Ashley brought on board at Newcastle at the same time as the appointment of Dennis Wise Executive Director (football).

With its new structure, Ashley hopes to improve the ability of Newcastle to find the best young players in the world, thereby minimizing the need for big names signed the club and putting on a solid financial base.

However, Keegan has become increasingly frustrated by his lack of influence in the purchase and sale of players and resigned shortly after the summer transfer window closed - sending the club into turmoil.

The fans, dismayed by the departure of one of the icons of the club, directed their anger at Ashley and his so-called "mafia Cockney", leading to the decision of the owner to sell.

Eight parties are believed to have shown an interest in the club, which is available for around £ 300m.
