Benitez backs Keane to come good
Rafael Benitez has admitted he has yet to see the best of Robbie Keane after the striker was removed for the 15th time this season in the draw with West Ham.

Keane arrived at Anfield for a fee of £ 20.3m Tottenham in July, but has only scored four times and finished 90 minutes three times.

Benitez said: "Robbie is a better player than we know now.

"He was disappointed when things do not go his way. It is a worker, but can improve. I'm fine."

The Irishman was replaced after 66 minutes in 19 years, French striker David Ngog on Monday as Liverpool chase the victory which would have moved three points clear in Fa Barclaycard Premiership.

Benitez added: "Robbie was disappointed when he is off. But the players always want to be on the ground for 90 minutes.

"We know what type of player is Robbie Keane. He needs people around him pass the ball well.

"He will score more if we create chances for him. If this is not the case, use players with different qualities opening The Game."
